Installation and Maintenance

Installation Guidelines

  • Ensure the valve is installed in the correct orientation with the flow direction arrow on the body.
  • The valve should be installed in a horizontal position with the stem vertical.
  • Before installation, clean the pipeline to remove any debris or foreign matter.
  • Use appropriate gaskets between flanges to ensure a proper seal.
  • Tighten flange bolts uniformly in a crisscross pattern to ensure even pressure.
  • Ensure there is sufficient space around the valve for operation and maintenance.
  • After installation, test the valve for leaks before putting it into service.

Maintenance Recommendations

  • Regularly inspect the valve for leaks, corrosion, or other damage.
  • Lubricate the stem and other moving parts periodically to ensure smooth operation.
  • Check the packing gland regularly and tighten if necessary to prevent leaks.
  • Keep the valve in either fully open or fully closed position when not in use for extended periods.
  • Clean the valve body and external parts regularly to prevent buildup of dirt and debris.
  • For valves in critical applications, consider implementing a preventive maintenance program.
  • If the valve is not operating properly, consult the technical manual or contact our support team.
